See below for more details about Ragatage Ragdolls.

Cost

Kittens bought purely as pets or show neuters cost £400 each. We are open to the idea of selling our kittens for potential breeding but would need to speak extensively to prospective owners regarding their plans for happiness, health, hygiene, upkeep, general maintenance of living quarters, etc. In past we have sold kittens for breeding in accordance with the pricing structure set out by the GCCF.

A deposit of £100 is required to secure a kitten.

Feel free to contact us if you are interested in arranging a visit or would like to chat more about becoming a Ragdoll owner:

07841 249 925 (Andrew's mobile)

07779 339 653 (Lara's mobile)

* Please note that the mobile reception where we live is patchy at best so if we have not responded to your enquiry within 24 hours, try the house phone or send us an email: iwantaragdoll@btinternet.com.

Ragatage quality

Our kittens are reared and sold within the guidelines of the Governing Council of the Cat Fancy (GCCF) and The British Ragdoll Cat Club (TBRCC). See our links page for further information on these organisations.

They go to their new homes at about 13 weeks of age. Kittens leave us GCCF-registered (with a four-generation pedigree), wormed and microchipped. Because Andy is a vet, they are under the very best care from the moment they are born and Lara and the children are able to spend a lot of time with them, which makes for healthy, happy, well-adjusted kittens.

They are vaccinated against flu, enteritis, chlamydia and

feline leukaemia and go to their new homes with a supply of food and litter, a Ragatage information pack and four weeks' worth of insurance conver.

This is all inclusive in the price.

Conditions of sale

Although we do not generally make a habit of house visits, we do like to know as much as possible about prospective owners and their intended living arrangements for our kittens, including the presence of children and other pets. Ragdolls are incredibly laid-back in nature but, in the end, each cat is unique in personality and individual in their relationships with their counterparts. With six years of experience in dealing with these lovely cats, we feel that we are in a good position to offer guidance and advice when choosing a kitten that will suit you.

Likewise, we do expect that you understand the obligation you make to our cats when purchasing them and agree to a number of conditions as laid out in our contracts, of which there are two:

- Contract for sale of a kitten registered through the GCCF on the non-active register, which is for owners buying cats as pets or show neuters.

- Contract for sale of a kitten registered through the GCCF on the active register, which is for owners buying cats with potential for breeding.

Two original copies are signed by both parties upon collection of your kitten but we would be happy to forward the contract in advance. It is imperative that an understanding and acceptance of the GCCF's code of ethics precede any agreement made. If you would like to read through this document, click here:

Data Protection

An advantage of being cat breeders is that it enables us to secure special offers and deals that might not otherwise be available to you. We currently have arrangements with Pet Plan insurance providers, as well as Hills Science Diet and Royal Canin, in order to be able to provide you with four weeks' insurance cover through Pet Plan (from the day you take your kitten home) and a sample pack of Hills. We will also provide you with a voucher for a free 2kg bag of Royal Canin kitten food, redeemable at Pets at Home and other vets and participating pet stores. The two together should last three to four weeks. You will also be provided with about a month's supply of Cat's Best cat litter, which is what your kitten will be trained onto by the time s/he joins your household.

These arrangements necessitate that we provide them with your details in the form of name, address, telephone number(s), contact email and information about your kitten (name, breed, colour, date of birth, etc). Accepting these samples and therefore providing your details in no way obligates you to any of the providers but you may receive marketing information in future.

Without wanting to circumvent any current legislation - namely the Data Protection Act 1998 - we ask that you allow us to provide these details so that we may secure these offers for you. Your details will be used for no other purpose and will be passed to no other parties. We ensure that all personal data will be held in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.

If you would prefer us NOT to pass your details on to these providers, please indicate this at the time of reserving your kitten. If you would like to download or print our data protection consent form, click here:
